Stake or delegate with objkt baker to earn tez while helping secure Tezos and championing the creative community. Whether you choose to lock your tez or keep them liquid—the choice is yours.
How to get started and earn tez with objkt baker
So, Tezos uses a system called baking, where trusted participants (called bakers) help run the network by validating transactions. In return, they earn rewards. You can join us and get a share of those rewards by staking or delegating your own tez.
Staking means locking some of your tez (temporarily) to support objkt baker. Because you're actively contributing, you earn about twice as much as delegating. You can't spend your tez while staked, and it takes 4 days to unlock them.
Delegating means you give us permission to bake on your behalf, but your tez stay liquid. You can spend them anytime, i.e., buying art on objkt.com. It's simpler and more flexible, but earns lower rewards.
In both cases, you keep control of your funds, and objkt baker takes a fee (5% for staking, 15% for delegation) from the rewards before sending the rest to you. 💸
Check the Tezos Foundation's FAQ for more info about this topic.
Staking and delegating with objkt baker means more than just earning rewards.
When you choose us, you're directly supporting our team and our mission to simplify and bring digital art to everyone. By using objkt baker, you also give us voting power in Tezos governance, and we commit to using that influence to represent the interests of artists, collectors, and the broader creative community!
Not at all, it only takes a few minutes. Just connect your wallet and you choose to delegate with objkt baker to get started. You can then stake some of your tez to earn even more.
Note: Once you start, there's a ~2-day waiting period.
It depends on what you value more: rewards or flexibility.
If you're comfortable with locking away some of your tez to maximize rewards, go with staking. If you prefer to keep your tez liquid and accessible, delegation is the better choice.
As of July 28, 2025, you earn around 3.8% per year (APY) for delegating and 10.8% per year (APY) for staking. Check here for the latest data.
There's a small risk, but it's very low.
Staking on Tezos comes with the possibility of slashing, which means losing a small portion of funds if a baker behaves dishonestly. However, objkt also has our own funds at stake, so we're strongly incentivized to act correctly.
As of June 13, 2025, out of over 9 million blocks on Tezos, there have been only a few hundred slashing incidents:
In short: the risk exists, but it's rare—and we take every measure to stay compliant and secure.
